You know what’s wrong with the Olympics? They happen only once every four years, and they never take place in my backyard. Luckily, Washington, DC has its own version, the Summer Games, the eponymous annual event from local drag queen Summer Camp. The 2013 version was modeled after Game of Thrones, and dubbed the Summer Game of Thrones, with a medieval theme.

Summer made her usual grand entrance, dressed in chain mail and arriving on the back of a giant purple dragon, swimming across the pond.

I love how she made herself at home among unsuspecting park visitors, using her megaphone to explain what was going on. You can see above her “Summer Knights,” ready to assist in the competitions.

The event moved to a grassy field, a makeshift amphitheater.

There were eight games in all, starting with Sharpie-pen sword fighting.

The tie was resolved with a “twerk-off,” which basically involves a lot of butt-shaking.

The final game was given the cringe-worthy name “breast-milk bukkake.” The Summer Knights laid on the grass holding a goblet in their mouths. Each team then surrounded their designated knight and used squirt guns to fill the cups with liquid. Gross, but fun.
